They say it takes a village to raise a child. I say it takes a village to write a book. It finally is starting to feel real. This is the book I've been holding so close. Only a few have read it and now I am about to let it spread its wings and fly.

I could not have accomplished so much without my son, Ricky, my lovely daughter-in-law, Kate, and granddaughters, Zelie and Melanie (named for her Aunt Mimi). Did I mention there are more members of my book village? Amazing daughter, Katie, and son-in-law, Chad, along with grandsons, Ben and Jacob, round out the inner circle!
But there have been many more behind the scenes who have assisted in the making of A Joyful Embrace: A Memoir about our Mimi. I see a future blog post on the horizon!
