So, I Wrote a Book...

So, I wrote a book. For about a year, my fingertips flew over the computer keyboard. I started frantically typing a few months after my daughter, Mimi, unexpectedly passed away. It was October 17, 2018. She was just 34 years, 3 months, and 4 days old. It was the saddest day of my life.

My daughter, Mimi

There are several reasons why the book needed to be written. Firstly, I believe Mimi had not fulfilled her short life’s mission. There are others. When finally published, it is my hope this book will inspire those who have never met her and why she mattered. To those who have, to flesh out the mystery of who Mimi was.

Mimi was both severely challenged physically and mentally. Stuck in the lovely world of a two-year-old all her life was never a limitation in drawing people close. Mimi’s zest for spreading love, along with those magnificent hugs, was contagious and inspirational to behold.

The following quote, included in my book, perfectly describes Mimi’s mission while on earth:

“The value of one’s life is determined by how much love one gives, not by how much love one has received.” -Epictetus
